Happy Friday! I took this photo just this morning at the park at 6am. I love living a ten minute drive from the water!

This week was pretty uneventful money wise. I’ve been trying to be extra mindful of my spending this week, which has made me realize just how much money my husband and I have been spending on eating out. It seems like every time we go somewhere, we end up at a bar, cafe, or restaurant. As yummy as it sounds, it’s hard on my wallet. I have a few plans to combat this, including staying home more and bringing food with us on our outings so we aren’t as tempted by the delicious aromas around us.

Big Losses This Week

The biggest loss this week was that we’ve been having a little car trouble. Although it isn’t too bad it’s still annoying to deal with and will potentially be expensive. At least the car is still drivable at this point so we’re not also dealing with rentals.

Big Wins This Week

My friend Jessica launched her podcast Let’s Talk Money! I listened to the first three episodes this week and I think Jess nailed it! I love seeing my personal finance friends launch new products so I consider this a big win this week.

Content I Loved This Week

Catherine from Plunged In Debt writes about how It’s Ok to Have Other Goals Too. I completely agree. I have many goals, and not all of them are financially related. Sure, all of them can be related to finances somehow, but there’s more to life than just money.

Bridget from Money After Graduation reveals the one thing that will help you give up your spendy ways.
